Why would you do that? You should just freak out and act all crazy and say that you are gonna do it. People react better to stuff like that. And if you kill yourself you don't get to see the look on their faces or anything which ruins the whole point of why you did it in the first place. If you aren't scared of going to extremes of killing yourself in front of him or her then screaming at them shouldn't be a problem. And you will get your point across

When people are depressed, it prevents their brains from working well. They are experiencing emotional suffering, and want it to stop, and many can only see suicide as a way of ending it. I went through a similar thing to you; it's important to realise that you are probably deeply depressed at present, but even so, you may still remember times when things were good. Well, they can be again, and soon: but you need effective treatment, using antidepressants and/or natural/alternative ones which are readily available; all you have to do is reach out. See http://your-mental-health.weebly.com/d.h… and pages 3, and B, about depression, and suicidal thoughts, and contact the hotlines, or chat sites/forums via pages D, or B. Emotional thought stopping is on page Y. If the suicidal feelings become overwhelming, take a taxi, call an ambulance, or use public transport, to take you to the nearest ER, or mental health facility, or call your local emergency number. 911 (USA), 000 (Australia), 999 (Great Britain), or 111 (New Zealand); see the phone book elsewhere. Don't drive, yourself: you may well be a danger to others on the roads, in your current mental state. Too many people are found, and revived, but have suffered permanent mental damage, and live the rest of their lives in a semi vegetative state: their family, and friends feel guilty, and responsible, for not noticing the signs, and doing something about it.

It's a very nasty thing for them to have to go through, too, even though I appreciate that life is certainly no bed of roses for you, at present, so please, get help, right now; seek assistance, or use the hotlines provided. It may induce those who cared about you to commit suicide, as well, or at least try, with undesirable consequences. When suicide is involved, family, and friends often feel guilty, and responsible, for not noticing the signs, and doing something about it when there was still time. See: http://www.cmha.ca Sometimes, if it induces suicide attempts from family members, or friends, it can result in either additional grief, for others, or horrible permanent consequences. Consider this: people who have jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge and survived; unanimously say that during the fall they realized that all their problems were nothing compared to the problem they had just created by jumping. Imagine, as vividly as possible, a time in the not too distant future, when you have got past this bad patch, and life is much better (you may feel like dismissing this, out of hand, but you have changed in the past, so the possibility is there that you can change in the future). Learn to challenge, and change your thoughts, and you can change your emotional states.

Read: "Lift your mood now." by John D Preston, Psy.D. 2001, New Harbinger Publications, Inc., 5674 Shattuck Avenue, Oakland. CA, (has short, 5 minute chapters, which are easily applied immediately) & "Feeling Good - the new mood therapy" by David D. Burns, M.D., from your bookstore, or Amazon.com (much longer, and very comprehensive; perhaps read this later). Other techniques are shown, as well, including relaxation methods, acupressure, diet and supplements, hypnotherapy, specialist acupuncture for depression, and several more.

I'm going through something similar right now. And I'm realizing I (and you) don't want to do this.
For the following reasons:
- If you do this you're going to hurt people, scar your loved ones.
- Suicide is like giving up, it's cowardly, you're better than that.
- There are a lot of things you still want to do with your life. You don't want to throw away those dreams and goals.
- Things will get better. They will.
- People love you. And more importantly, you love people.

So, like me, you're going to get through this just like you did before. But maybe this time by talking about it more, it'll make it easier. Well, that's what I'm considering anyway.

I believe you. I have felt the way you feel. Most people love life so much that just thinking of the possibility of dying scare them. I don't believe in gods or such stupid things, but I believe that we should give ourselves the opportunity to stay alive. Have you seen those drug addicts that are just remains of a human being; they are dirty, homeless, sometimes they can scarcely move and they still stick to life. Tell your therapist how you feel. If it doesn't work look for another one.

Why would you do that?
Just tell them you're in pain.
They'll believe you, and they will HELP you.
Take care. Don't do it.
