Question: Is my partner a narcissist? Need help :(?
- Constantly criticizes me, tells me I'm dirt and i mean nothing to him. Also said he will beat me if i argue back.
- Mistreats my pet cat, kicks it out of the way or give it a frightening look that scares the hell out of her, he said he would kill it one time (I believe him)
- Despises his family even though they do everything for him, doesn't ever buy them gifts but gets some from them.
- Constantly smears other people, especially nice people, he calls people who are genuine "suckers"
- Makes fun of me in the prescense of his friends, calls me his property. He once forced me to get on my knees while they watched and told me to bark like a dog, i was so scared that i did it.
- Has scary dark eyes, that cut right through you, when someone argues with him you can see the anger in his body language, it's scary!
- Never talks about emotions, hates expressing any kindness or positive feelings, underestimates everything, and is a cynic and a pessimist.
- Watches torture videos for entertainment.
I don't know what to do! Should i leave? What is wrong with him? Please help! :(

I don't know if "narcissist" is the right term; I'd go with psychopathic/antisocial personality disorder. As to why he's suddenly acting this way, I haven't a clue. Perhaps this was always his personality, only he hid it from you in the early stages of your relationship and now he feels comfortable enough to take off the mask. Whatever the reason, it's unacceptable and you need to GET OUT. Tell your family about his behavior, file a police report, pack your things, take your cat and leave. End of story.
Not really a narcissist, because they like to bathe in their own glory, where this is all just plain evil. You should get away from him though, because this sounds like a family-tragedy waiting to happen.
Only a matter of time before he makes his own torture video, so get as far away as possible.
why you still with him? get some backbone please and leave him. if not for yourself for your cat..
Whether or not he is a narcissist you have to get out now. Today. Don't think about it. Don't let your worries that you 'love him' or whatever mean anything. Get in touch with family or friends or just make a run for it. Get a restraining order. If this has happened suddenly it could be drugs. But in any case, you have no choice in this you have to get rid of him. His list of possible mental disorders is long and regardless of which one it is or isn't, it doesn't change the fact he'll kill you sooner or later. If you don't care about yourself, think how you will feel when he kills your cat.. a poor defenseless animal who didn't ask for you to bring this monster into her life.
