What do you think I should do?!

Question: What do you think I should do?
First, Trichotillomania is a type of psychological condition that involves strong urges to pull out one's own hair. Secondly, I am a girl and sixteen years old. I've had this disorder for a couple months and it is getting pretty serious. My family doesn't know about it except my grandmother because my mother, step dad, older sister, and also her boyfriend basically hate me, I think anyways. I have other problems they hold over my head and give me hell for it so this is the reason why I'm not telling them about it. They are always talking about me behind my back, laughing at me, putting me down, not accepting me for who and what I am, judging me nonstop, calling me names, must I go on? My friends know about this and are real supportive. I put pictures up on my facebook to share with everyone and I got a lot of messages and comments about it saying I am strong, that I will beat this, and that they admire me, and that I inspire them, etc. This is the link that will lead to my album on facebook; If you can't see it, please add me as a friend and I will accept the friend request.. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=100001060399730&aid=39467 But my question is, should I get a buzz cut even though they will do all those things that I listed and more? If they would just accept me, I would be okay with all of this and it wouldn't be a hard choice to make for me. Or like, something that is short and easy, and cute at the same time but it has to cover up my "mohawk" and my bald spot..

Is it possible for you to go to counselling or habit reversal training?
What I have heard some people do is they get a weave in (though I don't know how much hair you have) which makes it impossible for them to pull. After not pulling for so long, the urge decreases and they become less dependent on it.
Try to keep your hands busy knitting or something. Wear gloves that you can't pull in or maybe tie your fingers together with hair ties for a while when you feel the urge to pull. Keep busy too.

How you deal with your hair is your own personal choice. Not the trichotillomania part but the should I get a buzz cut or go for short and easy part.
