Why is my antipsychotic suddenly not working?!

Question: Why is my antipsychotic suddenly not working?
I don't know what to do. I am losing it. I hear he voices and they-at the moment-are not too kind. I am still a bit delusional. I am still extremely paranoid. It worked for 2 weeks then stopped. WHAT DID I DO WRONG???

Speak with your psychiatrist as soon as you can. Your meds will likely need to be adjusted or changed.

If you have made any changes in diet or had any new meds or herbals added, you need to discuss that. If you're on risperdal you need to avoid tea and cola.

People adapt to meds and sometimes they become ineffective after a while. This is how human beings work, and then you need to change meds. Your psychiatrist will discuss this with you.

I really would like to help you but without more info its impossible, can you comment back with the following:
Are you taking any antibiotics? Been sick? Diarrhea? Laxitives? What is the medication? What is the dose and the times you take it? Gender? Age? Diagnosis? Two weeks only?
is it quetiapine(Seroquel)? I am a prescribing healthcare provider and have a vast medication knowledge but I need more info before I can help. Email me if you dont feel comfortable answering in a comment: rickypen@rocketmail.com

Relax. You did nothing wrong. You just might have to try a different medication.
