My Friends Anorexic and is hearing voices, how can she be admitted into hospital!

Question: My Friends Anorexic and is hearing voices, how can she be admitted into hospital.?
My friend is anorexic and very under weight. She has been hearing voices for a while now and on monday he mum kicked her out? I'm worried she wont even be alive by the weekend, how can she get admitted into a psych or eating disorder hospital as soon as possible.

By the way she lives in Cornwall.

Answers:

Id say ideally you need to get her to local hospital and say re the fact she is underweight etc...also if you are in the UK you could phone NHS direct you can fill in a form online and someone will call you back within 2 hours and explain to you what you can do for her properly and will be able to put you into contact with the correct people in your area....they are a great help for anything medical like this....i would say this was your best bet as professionals

Yea, you might want tell your mom about this. Get her to a hospital ASAP she needs the help. If you have to, call the police, as they can force her to go to the hospital(I saw you pronounced it 'mum' are you from the UK? If so i dunno if the police can force her to a hospital.)

You should speak to your GP as soon as possible. Maybe there's an out of hours service that could help you now. Your GP may say your friend needs to come voluntarily, so you may have to be assertive, telling them you expect them not to last the weekend, and see what action it is possible to take. Good luck.

You need to talk to someone from a normal hospital, ask her what the voices are saying, Im not suprised your worried about her ;S. her mum kicking her out in that state is really really bad of her and she needs to be spoken to by social servicies

Jesus. Ask the local council or social services.

cornwall is a funny name..
