Why do I get these weird urges?!
Question: Why do I get these weird urges?
One is to run around and jump, just back and forth over and over again. And if I can't run or jump my legs start to shake.
And then when I'm talking sometimes I have the urge to repeat what I say over and over again. Like I'm talking and I just start repeating the last word or sentence like ten times. Sometimes I can't stop myself and I have to like cover my mouth with my hands to make me stop speaking.
And I get the urge to touch things as I walk by them. I just have to brush my hand across it but I'll literally turn all the way back around and touch something if I missed it.
So yeah, what's wrong with me and why do I get these urges? I'm 14 and a girl, if that helps.
Thanks!

Sounds like Tourettes Syndrome. I was just reading an article on Tourettes at thefreedictonary.com. It said that many people with Tourettes often experience many symptoms of OCD as well.

I think you have OCD. I totally understand what you're talking about, 'cos I have it too! If I brush something with my left hand, I have to do it with my right and I'm obsessed with checking that I've turned lights off etc. I think that, if your OCD is causing you big problems, you should seek the help of a counselor or doctor.
Good luck :)
You just need a regular exercise routine and you will be fine - cardiovascular - that's jogging.
OCD - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder .
