Question: I read pretty good, but my spelling sucks?

when i read, i like to read slow so i can read every word correctly. but there are some time when i read fliers i read it wrong.for instance. the sign said, "we can cut any material" but i read it as "we can cut any metal" and another one that said "real cheese" but i read it as "free cheese". but when i read a book i read it slow, so i can understand it. but when i write....oh my god. some times, it gets to the point where i have to substitute one word for another because i can spell the first one. its not often that i mix up letters, but i cant frigging spell it at all. help

It could be ADD, but it might also be dyslexia, where your brain mixes words & letters, either causing you to read something different than what's written, or causing you to write letters backwards & have trouble spelling. You can definitely talk to your school's guidance counselor to see if you can get tested for either. Hope it gets better for you!

It could be ADD, where you read so fast that your mind can't catch up. I have ADD and when not on my medication, I just read slow so I can soak it in, and eventually the words that to be nothing while I think of other things while reading, then I find out I read 2 pages without even remembering what I read.

Grammar and punctuation seem to be quite the hurdles for you as well.
