Feel like I'm going to fail at life...?!

Question: Feel like I'm going to fail at life...?
A little background: Sometimes I feel like I will never go anywhere in life. I am almost 19, and I still live with my parents. The program I want to take in college doesn't start until 2012 (ends 2014), so until then I'm taking one or two random courses at the local university. I don't have a job either; my seasonal job is hiring right now, but since I'm in school three days a week I can't go in. Basically, I feel as though I have no direction.

My parents are very supportive (they would never kick me out, etc), but sometimes they don't get it. My dad is pushing me to take up my seasonal work from above, even if it means just going in two days a week (the place I work most likely wouldn't take me for just 2/5 days of work in a week). Nor will they hear of me moving out in 2-3 years with a student loan. I don't want to stay in my parents' house until I'm 23.

In addition, taking the job (if they hired me), would make it near impossible to see my boyfriend, as he is studying at the university full time in order to get a degree.

So now that you know all the background, I must ask: what can I do in the meantime to pull myself out of this slump? Every time I think about the future, it just looks bleaker, and so much depends on me getting into college next spring. Moreover, I'm not even sure if this college program is what I want to make my career out of, it's just something to get me on a path. I dont' know what I should be doing with my life right now. I feel trapped, with no way out. Any suggestions on how to boost my self-esteem and mood would be much appreciated. Thanks
