I'm sleeping mostly through the day? .. please help?!

Question: I'm sleeping mostly through the day? .. please help?
I want to fix my sleep hours but I can't ... I have already tried every technique including trying to stay up through the day and sleep around 8-10 pm, but I keep falling asleep ... I was thinking of trying sleeping pills but I don't know

I recently dropped out of school and want to go back, but I can't, cause of my stupid sleep hours and its making me mad .. and now out of no where, i'm starting to feel depressed ..

what should I do??

Answers:

It sounds like you may have depression, and one symptoms can include overindulging in sleep because thats the only thing that interest you but it does sound like you are interested in going back to school and doing more stuff so I'm not sure. First I would go to a medical doctor second If that doctor doesn't work I would go to a therapist if you can't afford one go to the one thats at your school you want to go back too and she what they say. Important fact Depression isn't just because something bad happen to you it's a medical problem in your brain not producing enough chemicals so it's nothing to be ashamed about, it's like any other disease, like asthma it's not you're fault and can be treated.

Its possible that you have mononucleosis, which is a disorder that makes the sufferer constantly tired all the time; which comes from much too many nights of not enough sleep and becoming rundown in the past. What I would recommend would be to make sure you are eating healthy, drinking 8-10 glasses of water each day (in a recent study, its been proven that not enough water can fatigue a person as much as lack of sleep can).

And also don't try sleeping pills, the bad outweighs the good for them; the pills make you drowsy for possibly days after you've taken just one.

Hope this helps!

go and make an appointment with your docotr if your sleep pattern is starting to effect how your living your life something needs to be done. See what he suggests
