does ALCOHOLISM count as a Disorder?!

Question: Does ALCOHOLISM count as a Disorder?
just wondering if it counts as one

Answers:

Alcoholism is considered a disease by the American Medical Association. The disease is often chronic and fatal. There is a hereditary component, but lifestyle and other factors also play a part. I will cite sources, since what I have stated is backed by the people who are tasked with deciding such things, and not some ignorant opinion.

I think its suppose to count as a disease or something. I say this becuase these ex alcohols came into our school and talked to us and they say that when they first tried alcohol something inside them clicked and it was different to other people. They say that its like there was a hole in a barrel and as they drink the barrel will never be full, they could never drink enough

All addictions are disorders in my opinion. They're control disorders.

yes but not if ur trying to get help from the gov. like a dissability check.
