Question: For people who project, are they aware they are projecting?

My brother is basically an abuser. He's done everything from laughing when my grandma died, stealing money from people, punching, throwing things, threatening with knives/objects, saying how he wants to become a serial killer, putting people at risk, I mean everything. And then he turns around, and says how other people are bad or evil. So I'm just wondering, does he realize that he's the bad one, or does he truly believe in his twisted mind that he's alright, and everyone else is to blame?

I'm not sure what is going on in your brother's mind, Malina, but I do know that he needs professional help IMMEDIATELY before he hurts or kills himself or someone else, or gets in serious trouble with the law. If he keeps going the way he is, he is eventually going to get in SERIOUS trouble. If you are still in school, Malina, talk to your guidance counselor and see what he or she can do to help. It would be best if you write down specific facts about what your brother does (time and date, exact words and actions, etc). and give them to the counselor. Good luck to you, Malina!
