You sound like you are very depressed and I can see that you need some help to overcome it right now. Your mom will be glad that you have told her. Don' t wait another minute. Go to her and tell her and make sure she understands how bad you are feeling. I truly believe you need some professional help from a doctor since you are not feeling like doing anything. That is unusual for someone of your age. There is no mom in the world who wants their child to feel like that. Tell your mom how long this has been going on and ask her to take you to a doctor to find out what you need to feel better. This is not just normal growing pains like some people think and it should not be ignored.

I remember having this same problem myself at your age and if I had gotten help way back then I might not be struggling with depression now that I am older. If you think that your mom might not understand, then print this your question and this answer and give it to her. I'm sure she will want to help you if she knows how you are suffering by yourself.

Sidney, please talk to your guidance counselor as soon as possible; he or she should refer you to a doctor. If they don't refer you, go see a doctor anyway. There is no need for you to suffer like this; a doctor can help you feel better. In the meantime, please turn to Psalm 34:18 in your Bible - I find this verse to be very encouraging. I am rooting for you, Sidney. Peace to you.

You are at a difficult age and first of all I'd talk to your Mum . It might help to try and write down how you feel first. Growing up can be hard work , dont try and do it alone. Wonder if you have any help agencies in the US like something called "childline" we have in the UK? Or talk to a teacher or other relation or friend. Don't be shy about explaining how you feel, share your troubles and I think you'll start to feel better about yourself. Lots of luck!

Why do you feel sad, what makes you feel unhappy, does anything make you feel happy? are you bullied at school? ask your self these questions and see what you come up with, but putting that aside I would defiantly speak to your mum about this!

You should do both. Perhaps you just like being happy in the company of others, and when your by yourself your just like.... :'( But seeing a doctor as well as telling your mom would be good.

It sounds like you could be depressed. You should tell your mother to take you to a doctor to find out
