i feel so isolated, why?!

Question: I feel so isolated, why?
I never connected with any friends the way it seems my friends had connected with each other. no bonds so to speak. in jr high i moved away from all my friends. i had to make new ones in high school. Basically, i was unable to connect with them or relate to them as well as they did with each other because the friendship was only there for a short time. after high school those friend ships were gone. i did move back to my old town and hang out with old friends but the missing years in between caused the same problem....making me so different from them. i've ended up keeping to myself for so long that although i can socialize with people, what do i talk about with them. my interest are so odd. i guess im just an odd ball who is destined to be alone, i'd really like help i just dont know what to even ask of anyone from this i guess i just write this because i am lonely.

Hey, Im kinda the same way. You close off. You're either scared to share your feelings or worried about being hurt or just weren't socialized correctly as a child or rough family or something. Maybe you came from a background where it was be tough to make it, idk. Anyway, start forming friendships with people again, slowly if needed. Then start sharing a little more here and there and do new things and do things you thought you couldn't do. It's working for me. Hope it works out.

Don't run though I have for years from just about everything. The longer you do it, the harder to quit.

I have gone through these same feelings and I came to find that maybe i was jus different. I realized that I was different from the people I connected with and it's nothing I could do about it but find people of similar interest.
