how to be more confident?!

Question: How to be more confident?
how to believe in yourself more? can you help me ? I cannot afford a psychologist or something like that.. how to be sure of yourself not to be nervous in front of others?

Answers:

One thing to remember is to be observant. If you observe people, then speak to them. After you said something, then listen. Just listen when they talk. When they are done, then you speak, and then listen again.

Confidence comes from within. It has to be learned. It's something we have to develop when we are children. People are not born confident. Some people can become more confident if they have supportive parents who instill them confidence and they train you to speak up and smile and be happy with yourself.

And some of us grow up without parents like that.

But it's not all doom and gloom. You can learn to become confident in a few steps:

1. Watch people.
2. Speak to people
3. Keep a smile on your face
4. Let other people talk.

Once you do that, you are on your way to becoming confident. When before a crowd, just talk like you would to a good friend. You are not nervous around your friends, right? So be that way before a crowd. Have your friends sit down and you stand in front and say a few words. Then get their feedback. As you are standing there listening, remember what they are saying and just start speaking again. You are talking in front of a group! Way to go.

Next time you can speak in front of even more people. Don't feel self-conscious, just speak from your heart. And smile. People like it when you smile because you are confident.

Putting your head down, or looking up in the air is a person not sure of himself. So look people in the eye, smile and talk.

You got it!

Sit up straight and tell yourself you are proud of who you are. If you're happy with who you are, then you'll naturally feel confident. Also don't compare yourself with others. You need to be content with the person you are because you are, not because you've compared yourself to others who are either better or not better than you are. That will help you gain confidence if you are sure of yourself and happy with your personality, etc.

well i know nervousness can take over your life sometimes when you want to say something out loud... perhaps because your thoughts were never regarded as a child, and the pressure to say something right can sometimes be too much. Perhaps your ideas were never widely accepted which feeds into your problem... perhaps your afraid that you'll say something dumb or that they'll laugh at you.
But sometimes you have to say stuff... and you only have one moment and little gut.
time and presicion. clear your head... and as you feel that weird feeling and you want to back out... don't... ignore it as best you can, and say what is on your mind, even though you might be internally shaking with a rush. Just say it and once you do, you'll be glad you took the risk or chance. When you feel weak is when you take the leap and say it. :)

making an announcement in front of horrible teenagers was tough especially since i was the outcast... but as i got the wierd feeling that i shouldn't say anything... that's when i made myself... and after a while you'll get used to it instead of thinking i should have said it then.

I also really struggled with a lot of self-confidence issues in the past. I think really the best way to beat it is with experience. Make yourself do things that are a bit out of your comfort zone. At first you will feel nervous, but after awhile you will become more brave and it will make you a better person.
Having a supportive group of friends who build you up will also do a lot of help.

God bless!

confidence is a trick. you can be too confident its about experience and understanding. but without experience we have acting. we watch acting all the time a lot of want to do it. we all do it to get what we want. confidence is impressive take it as a performance and give it your best include a little humility and reticence to show that you are not over confident that can spoil it. build and learn the tricks of confidence and you wil become it but keep it measured.

i got a job as bandsaw operator and demanded my price and bought a house. i worked on them, seen how it was done but i hadn't actually operated one.
