What are some tips for controlling anger?!

Question: What are some tips for controlling anger?
I seen to have (recently, aka V-Day) picked up the habit of shaking my arm a little when emotions go high (anger, stress, etc.). My mom will do something and it'll make me snap and I'll have to shake. It's like in the Beautiful People video by Marilyn Manson where he shakes a little in the chair, but it's just my arm. But, a time or two has happened where I'll get a little carried away and I'll do it harder or faster or bend over or I think one time I did my other arm to. It's just a quick little thing.

The part that really disturbed me, and the action that made me ask this, is I actually hit myself three times tonight. I didn't realize I hit myself 'til the last wack, then I felt like crying due to how disturbed I am of this new, and lovely action -_-

Don't say to walk away, or something like that, 'cause I can't just leave a conversation (Trust me), and when I see her face, most of my rage comes back. And me and my mom can't "Work things out." I'm not even gonna go into all the reasons that's not possible, just know it's not.

Could you help, 'cause it's really starting to scare me. Please don't call me crazy and judge, I'm just trying to get through my life here and learn things that will help me later in life. I really have become my own worst enemy...

Answers:

insight and calmness be aware of your own problem and manage it and manage it all the time keep yourself in you know the consequences and you don't want them it will get easier and you will slip but if people know you are trying and have admitted they will be forgiving perhaps too forgiving at times. it has to become a standard you know you have the power be the distant warrior to yourself and conduct self-restraint and people wil respect you

a distant warrior is someone battling his own inner fight which is the hardest of all wars

raging is a failing a lack of control and it will undo you

all the best

You may not like this butttt... working out. Pick up mma or boxing. Buy a boxing bag. I did track for a year and did mma for around 3 years. It's the best way to get your anger out ever. Especially mma. I actually recently started it back because of my anger. I like to fight lol. But um yeah especially boxing, is sooo good to help get anger out. You may think it sounds crazy but no. I would train so much harder when I had a lousy day and I was pissed off. Same with track. & then i'd feel a whole lot better after I got it out of my system. Hope this helps!
