It may not be anxiety. You may have an overactive thyroid gland. There are other physical conditions which cause the hands to shake. It would be wise to get checked out by a doctor, just in case.
I used to have an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), and my hands shook. I was embarrassed about it and would try to hide it. My writing was terrible, and when taking notes in lectures (I was a student at the time) I would try to write quickly to keep up with the lecturer but couldn't because of my hands. I was so embarrassed about it I would pretend to make notes although it would just be meaningless scrawl. Eventually I was given medication and the shake (and other symptoms) were gone in 3 weeks.
