i feel so useless :'(......again?!
Question: I feel so useless :'(......again?
So yesterday he tells me someone in his family passed on. it was his baby nephew.
he had it in his head that it wouldn effect him but it did and i knew it was going to.
so he was acting weird so i gather he is drinking again which is understandable.
I know what it feels like to loose someone as i lost my dad to cancer nearly 9 years ago.
Because im in england and the fact i cant afford a plane ticket to get me over there i feel so useless, i cant comfort him much when im here.
He says knowing im here is keeping him going but i no he gets suicidal and im so worried that he is going to do something that he will regret.
So i dont know what to do cause i feel like a total outsider and i feel so useless
The funerals at the weekend.
How can i help him get through this?

Have you met this guy? If so, how many times? How long have you been together? Did you get together online?
I ask these questions because people online have a tendency to make things up for attention - something that they're not getting in the real world.
And, being oceans apart, there really is nothing you CAN do, apart from support him when he needs it, be that through phone calls, e-mails or IM.
Edit: A year isn't a particularly long time. Have you actually met him? My friend was 'dating' a girl in Australia (we're in the UK too) for a year and a half, turns out she made up loads of stuff about herself. My brother met a girl online and dated for a while before finally meeting, she was also a compulsive liar who even pretended to be 14 (my bro was 15 at the time) when she was 20!!
