How can I forgive myself?!

Question: How can I forgive myself?
I have done alot of things in my life that I really regret. like not doing good in school, not interested in college but I'm going because I don't want to suffer in the future what I'm studying i'm fine with it but I don't love it as much as I used to. there are other things that I also regret doing and not doing .. some times well most of the time I feel might self worthless for getting a good job, having true friends, having a boyfriend, and even I feel worthless and think that no guy has the right to look at me or even like me, I get shy and look away and want to stay away when that happens. (I was molested/touched at age 5, idk if it has something to do with it) I feel that I have no right to be successful in life ... I feel worthless. Help! I think my little sister is better than me she has been a perfect straight A student, always, college graduate soon to be. prolly my parents love her more. they have told me that I'm a disappointment to them for what I do.

you forgive yourself by admitting to yourself that you are human and therefore not perfect. that you are like other humans. as for as the rest i would like to suggest to you that you seek help with a psychologist for talk therapy to learn to deal with the molestation when you were young (sorry you had to go through that. i was raped over a 4 year period by a relative). you really need a professional to help you get learn to deal and get over what you have been through and learn to put it behind you.

personal experience.

your great, just the way you are! you have to believe that yourself, and then you will feel more confident. try helping other people, that can make you feel much better

good luck!

Well, your perception of yourself controls the environment around you. I was sexually abused at a young age as well, and it was hard for me to recover and have successful relationships. The key is to try to be as optimistic as possible. Faith and meditation help as well (for me, anyway). If you think that you'll never amount to anything and keep a pessimistic attitude, chances are that's how your life will be. It takes conditioning of your thoughts..For example, if you begin to look at yourself in a new light (more positively), you will notice your environment changing with you. We hold more power within us than most of us know. Change is important. If there is something in your life that you are not happy with...change it. That is the only way to move forward. I will pray for you and hope that things get better.

Regrets are useless because they absolutely can ruin your life. If you don't want that to happen you need to forgive youself for the past mistakes you've mentioned and MOVE ON. Your parents do not love your sister more... that is not possible. You may think it is, but it's not. Parents love their children equally and if you're close with your sister you should ask her for help studying, or maybe find a mentor that is in your field that can get you inspired about your college major, or if all else fails, they can make you realize you really don't want to be in that field and you can MOVE ON with that too. Don't look back, okay?
