PLEASE can anyone help me :(?!

Question: PLEASE can anyone help me :(?
I've been suffering from something called "Depersonalisation" which is something that you feel. In other words, it makes you feel like your in a dream<- that's the whole point. I'm 13 and I've been having this since I was 10 and for me it's not severe because I get them rarely. Anyway I've had one for a whole hour at school today and a whole hour yesterday and I really hate it I try to distract myself but it's impossible to stop thinking about it.
So I looked up more about it on google and found that it's really common and one of my friends has this as well so I'm glad I'm not the only one. But I wanted to know if there's a cure for it if not something to make it happen even less? Please help I want it to stop happening completely.
Is it true that a balanced diet, exercising in the sun and more sleep can help? Btw my parents don't know about this.

Answers:

A lot depends on what the underlying reason for the depersonalisation is. I had a client who suffered really seriously from depersonalisation in reaction to extreme anxiety. I worked with him for about a year and he stopped having these episodes - he came close at times but had found ways to recognise and manage his symptoms, and to generally feel infinitely better. So psychotherapy might be the answer.

It's also true that diet, sleep and exercise are always helpful - exercise helps metabolise the neurochemicals that are coursing around and lead to the depersonalisation (if it has any connection with anxiety or stress), and good sleep and diet mean your body is coping at its optimum. I hoe you can find a way that works for you - because there is no doubt that it's possible to make life much better and make it infinitely less likely that you experience this.

First of all, since you are a minor you should tell your parents. If you can't go to them tell a teacher or nurse at your school. They can point you in the right direction and hopefully get you some answers. Good luck.
