Can Clarityn (Loratidine) give you high anxiety - borderline panic attacks?!

Question: Can Clarityn (Loratidine) give you high anxiety - borderline panic attacks?
My doc said I should take an antihistamine each day to help with my sinuses / ears while I endure this dreaded cold. I took the first one at 10h30 this morning and then got tired from doing the school run and morning chores because of this cold I have. I went to sleep for an hour+ and woke to fetch the kids from school. On the way back and 'til now I just feel panicy but it won't build up into a panic attack. I have experienced bad anxiety before in my life but have overcome it so maybe that's why it won't come to a head. I just want to know if this medicine can cause it.
Thanks!

Nervousness and increased heart beat are amongst the side effects that should be reported to you doctor, so please talk to him or her.

i used to take it for my pollen allergy , iv'e swiched to aerius now, but i never noticed a panicy feeling
ask your pharmacist mabye or just leave it

Try a different antihistamine, I like chlorphenamine Piriton best.

Call a pharmacist and ask if there is possibly a problem with taking the antihistamine along with the drug that you are currently taking. If there is, get in touch with the doctor who told you to take the antihistamine what else you could possibly take that would not interact in the way it has.

Do not take anymore of the antihistamines before speaking to the pharmacist.

There is always a possibility that an over the counter drug can have a bad reaction with the medications that you are currently having. The pharmacist might also be able to suggest something for your cold that will alleviate the symptoms you are having without interacting with the medication you are already on.
