What are Symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?!

Question: What are Symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?
I believe I am suffering for PSTD. I would like to know more about it.
1 1/2 years ago I was in a bad car accident that left me with a life changing injury. In the past 6 months I feel my personality has changed. I no longer want to hang out with friends..the only person I want to be around is my fiance'. I have anxiety all the time. I constantly feel worthless, depressed, anxious, light headed, annoyed, lonely, and I have been crying A LOT. I was never a person to cry in the past...or even show much emotion but now I have become a ridiculously sensitive person and I feel it is interfering with relationships I have. I have thoughts about hurting myself or just wanting to die..not that I would ever go through with it..but I have just been feeling miserable. I don't get out of the house much..unless it's to see my fiance'( I don't have many friends) or help out at a nursing home. I feel I have lost everything I had going for me. I am 21 years old..I do not have a job or a car. I used to be very independent and I had a great job. Also I have been dwelling on the past..I keep thinking about my car accident and how I wish I could go back in time and just have stayed home that night. Because of my car accident I lost mobility in my elbow and I can't even touch my face..or brush my hair. Every time I think about my car accident in detail it makes me feel..weird..like I get an odd feeling in my stomach and I just don't feel safe.
I just don't know what's wrong with me.

The primary symptom of PTSD is the uncontrolled reliving of the trauma through specific flashbacks to the event. It is certainly likely that you are still affected by the car accident, but what you describe isn't likely to be PTSD. But who cares what you call it? If you feel you're having difficulties, go ahead and try counseling/therpy. It may be very helpful to you. The name of the diagnosis means little or nothing.

The american psychological association , the veterans administration and many others have endorsed eft by gary craig as a profound healing method., especially for ptsd , trauma , and other things.
They symptoms are easy enough to look up and it sounds like you have some fear , and may have it to some degree, but would need a good evaluation for that.

See a counselor who deals with it. there is a treatment EMDR.. it is a non-pharmacological treatment for PSTD. And is showing good results in acute PTSD issues..

The treatment is generally a few sessions with a therapist trained in EMDR.. it showing significant clinical results often within a few weeks of treatment.

to find a clinician your area, here is a search:

I've known people with similar events who have done this and the results are amazing.
