Wait until they are at their lowest, then they can't go any further.

There is never really a good time to tell someone bad news , the only tips i could give you is to let the person bad news in the privacy of their own home where they can feel safe to express their feelings , never give some one bad news in public their reaction could be very embarrassing for them when the have calmed down , and be a tactful as possible ,and please make sure that the person receiving the bad news has support and our not left alone . warm regards mags
