GIven that it bothers you and is important, you may want to consider counseling/therapy for yourself. It could be a good opportunity to resolve some, or most, of these feelings.
Just think... when someone insults you, don't take it to heart. They were probably jealous of you for some reason or their lives were so boring that they want to cause trouble for someone else for their own entertainment. Think positive like that, and remember that the past is the past :)
Personal experience
Don't dwell on the things that were said 2-5 yrs ago. You can't change what was said/ what actually hurt you but you don't have to keep remembering those words. A book that helped me a lot was "happiness is an inside job" by John Powell (I think). You might be able to read it online without having to buy it.

Try to surround yourself with positive people
Feel bad for the bullies that they have nothing better to do with their sad life than to be mean
Be glad that you're a nice caring person, instead of one of them
Remember that you are great, and you are strong!
