Is it common while on medication to?!

Question: Is it common while on medication to?
I am on Citalopram anxiety medication and I have been taking it for a month now. It has definitely helped me sleep better and gain a lot more motivation in school. I am on the lowest dose 20 mg. I don't really worry about "burning out" nonstop or thinking irrational thoughts like I am going to fail university even though my GPA is really good. My question though is. Every now and then thoughts about burning out or quitting will cross my mind. Is that common for my anxiety thoughts to come across my mind every now and then even though I am on the medication? It definitely isn't 24/7 like it use to be, but once in awhile it will come across.

I'm on the same medication and I still get those thoughts every now and again. It's normal, they aren't a perfect solution to taking away all your problems. I find them with counselling really helps though, as the counselling helps with the past reasons and thoughts etc.

Also, they do say with the medication, you get worse before getting better!

Yes that is perfectly normal. MAO inhibitors really only mask your symptoms, they do not correct the problem or cure you in any way. In some cases it makes depression and anxiety even worse, so be careful. If you are interested in some alternatives to taking dangerous drugs, I would do some research. They are out there and they are much safer than the stuff you are taking.
