i'm a HUGE advocate for using marijuana to deal with my mood disorder/depression. but what i HATE to see if someone so young as 13 smoking it to DEAL with depression. i DO believe that marijuana is better for you than taking prescription pills.

I think talking with your parents about being sad and down a lot will help. if you are a christian, then most likely they are christians too. you dont have to come out and say you treat your depression with marijuana use if you dont want to. that is your personal choice though. i think they would have a lot of respect for you if you just try to sit down and talk to them about how you feel. i really think they will look down upon your marijuana use. try telling them you rather seek alternative ways than just to take a pill (which i'm sure theyre down with that too).

i hope this helps and good luck!

Hi Austin ,

First of all , you should know that mental illness and smoking marijuana very often go hand-in-hand .
Teens who used to smoking marijuana at least once a month are three times more likely to have depression and strange , odd feelings and thoughts .
Marijuana use increases the risk of developing mental disorders by 40 percent . Dramatic and long-lasting changes in personality , mood , behavior and thoughts are red flags of depression ( this fact is according to the Partnership for a Drug Free America ) .

So , places , like your own home , once was familiar and comfortable to you , now you have an alien feel towards it which is quite normal for your condition .
Bottom line , you should understand that it will pass , allow yourself to relax , it's just a phase .
Whenever you think about death or any other weird thoughts ,don't give it undeserved attention .
You should seek professional help to assist you through this , you still too young for all of this .And don't forget to exercise and eat healthy food.

Have faith .
