What can I do so I will continuously take medication?!

Question: What can I do so I will continuously take medication?
So about six months ago I was taking 5-HTP and St. Johns Wort for anxiety and depression, mostly because I have to much anxiety to go to the doctor. I noticed that after a couple weeks the medication was starting to help with the depression and a little with the anxiety so I continued to take it for a couple months but then I stopped. I guess I just thought that I was feeling better so I thought that not taking the medication would be harmless. Well now the anxiety is as bad as ever, I am more depressed, and I just feel disconnected so I am going to start taking the medication again. What can I do to ensure that I will not stop taking the medication?

Answers:

Unfortunately the most important thing you will need is will-power. You could also write down how bad you are feeling now, so that when you are feeling better, you can remind yourself of what it's like when you stop taking them. Then when you are well, do the same thing. Write down how much better you feel (be specific) so that if you stop taking them you can remember what it's like. Keep these handy, or read them often.

I have to take medication every day, probably for the rest of my life or I will get sick again. I just had to come to terms with the fact that I need the medication, and that I can't stop it. Make it part of your routine, and force your-self to take it even when you feel good.
