Question: Can anybody help me, I have major anger problems.?
Please I am begging you to help me. I have these fits of rage, I am on Celexa which is an anti-depressent..but I am on it for anger. Nothing helps. I just go blind and say hurtful things and push and slap. I feel like a monster. I am only a 18 girl. Why am I cursed with such anger? I feel like I am watching a movie, yelling at the screen. I can't help it. I end up feeling horrible and crying right after. Regretting everything I said or did. I try counting. I try being alone, away from the person making me mad (so we can talk when I am calm) Nothing helps. I'm tired of feeling like a monster. Please help, the only thing I do anymore is pray. I feel helpless

1st off, You are NOT a monster!!! You are a very smart young lady who recognizes her serious anger issues and is trying to get help. Tell your DR. that Celexa is not working. There are anti anxiety meds that may help or even anti psychotics like Haldol. Do you see a therapist? CBT & DBT are really good therapies to try as they try to have you see and rethink things in a different way. Once again, remember you are NOT a monster! GOOD LUCK! I think you will find a way to get through this as you are only 18 and mature enough to want help!

ya u can change right now, u obviously know u got anger issues, nows ur chance to think in ur head, "is this situation really this bad?" "is what im gonna be doin worth it?" no its usualy never that, recognize ur about to snap, and think, is this going to be worth every negative thing that u stated?

Hi, I suggest to make a list of the things that really triggers your anger.. Have u done that already? And as much as possible, avoid negative thoughts.. It's okay to pray and if in praying you feel calm, don't stop..
