Help on sleeping? autism.?!


Question: Help on sleeping? autism.?
I have autism im not sure if its why i can not sleep well or not but it sucks because i want to sleep and its like i just cant how do i get to sleep other then useing sleeping pills because they make me to sleepy.

Hi Wolf, I am answering here because I saw that your question was deleted in the R&s category.

I understand how this makes you feel Wolf and no you are not alone. Autism is difficult enough to deal with and the last thing that you need is someone trying to adjust your beliefs to match their religious fantasies.

Try to understand that this is their problem not yours. When they start trying to readjust you to match up with what they believe to be more acceptable, remember that the idea of an unconditionally loving, judgmental, punishing God makes no sense on so many levels.

You are not the one who needs to be fixed here, they are the ones who are deeply confused. Just don't fall into the same mistaken pattern they are in. It isn't your job to correct them either.

Just remember that their version of God makes no sense when looked at logically. Something that I'm sure you are very good at.

Try your best to remember this. Does it really matter what the confused think of us?

This seems to be a common trait, but it's not inevitably present.

I've had to try several different sleeping tablets and adjust the doses carefully, in order to find one that will let me sleep but that doesn't leave me dopey in the mornings. I'm on a quarter of the dose of Trazadone that I was started on, and that works (but we vary...)

Some find that the right background noise can help considerably. A soft "white noise" often, for instance obtained by leaving a fan running, or using a "natural sound" device or a CD with a range of water, wind, wave tracks.

I have Asperger's



Some people drink milk or read books so that they can sleep easily. But in my own case, in order for me to get sleep easily, I do stuffs or things that makes me tired. In that way it get me sleepy. Hope it can help you. And by the way, maybe you think a lot, or there is something that bothers you or maybe your thinking of your special someone. Lol Just kidding.

not drinking caffeine, not watching tv, or playing video games before you wanna go to bed.
Try not to do nothing while you are trying to fall asleep.

some people
listen to soothing music
take a bath, (relaxation)
turn off the lights
etc.



well if your up for it you can exercise before you sleep
