Hey, just know its okay. I do the same exact thing, i suffer from manic depression, and during one of my episodes where im really down i cut too, but i never get mad to the point i want to break things. I think about how much of a release it would be tho! :) and hey, im generally a happy person! Im not emo, im just your average hapy girl lol im pretty popular nd have a lot of friends, but that doesnt mean my life doesnt suck, cuz it kinda does. But what helps A LOT, is therapy.
therapy helps so much like you dont even understand. And you should get checked by your docter to diagnose any emotional problem you have. So try getting therapy cuz its great i promise :) and listen to some happy music, smoke some pot and just chill :)
life is worth living and know poeple love you in this world. I'll pray for you and know that your in my heart, honestly :)
take care and let the force be with you! Lol

Experience

If you have any close friends, try talking to them about it. My best friend got addicted to cutting and it tore me apart to see her wrists, but I kissed them every day until they healed. You might have a friend you can trust and I would advise that because talking to someone can make all the difference. As for me, I have had tendencies to scratch myself with keys and it is bad I know, but it's not as bad as cutting, and from there you could try to work your way down. Acknowledging that is the most important first step. Next. you have to figure out why you do it. Why are you self-destructive? For attention, to feel something? Why are you numb? To hide something and/or displace something? Once we fill in the blanks then we figure out how you can stop.

Once you stop, you also have to start liking yourself and thinking up ideas on how to treat yourself better.

It seems you are ready to admit this behaviour is harmful to you and change it. You also seem to need to confide in someone. Try calling a help line or talking to a mental health nurse.

cutting is an addictive behavior how long have you been cutting? It's going to take support. You need to find something to replace cutting and you need to find some one who can hold you accountable and be there to help you. I don't know a bout the destroying things. Stopping cutting can take a long time just be persistent.

Throw your knives out. Tell someone you trust about your problem and seek help.
