Does this sound like a panic attack or something else?!

Question: Does this sound like a panic attack or something else?
I have had panic attacks in the past, but I have lately had a different experience. I have moments where I get so nervous that I feel like I am out of my body. I feel like if I touch my arm, it isn't me, and it feels fake. I also feel like what if life is just a dream. It is a terrifying experience, because I start to feel afraid to move, to speak, to eat, to breath...anything that is normal and necessary to b human. It feels like I get afraid to be alive. Is this all within the normal range of anxiety?

Answers:

Definitely a panic attack/anxiety.... I felt like this for months thinking it would pass then it just got worse like feeling like I couldn't breathe and it got to the point I was afraid to be alone for the fear of dying..... I finally realized I needed help when I started to feel like I was being choked... I was diagnosed with GAD (general anxiety disorder) and was put on meds and 7 months later I am panic attack free!!! Definitely get help before things get worse..... It's a scary experience and I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy! Good Luck!

personal experience.

Well, life is real. It is not a dream. If you are diagnosed with anxiety and panic attacks, go back to the therapist, and ask about medication. You might have to see a psychiatrist. But, feeling like this will prevent you from leading a normal life. Also, you must not forget to do your deep breathing. See if it helps to care for a pet, maybe by volunteering at a pet shelter.

IDK. I'm kinda like you. I hate how people chew gum, because when both of our mouthes are open, I can taste their breath, and it tastes like gum, so that's kinda gross. Yours is more extreme with the same idea. You can mentally heal yourself.

I hate the taste of gum when it's not mine.

This sounds just like a panic attack, and what I would get every once in a while years ago. What helps is to get up and move, find someone to talk to about endless dribble, what ever it takes to distract yourself.

life

I would say it is linked to anxiety. You don't have to live like this though, see a doctor who may be able to prescribe something to help.

deff a panic attack

Well I'm no doctor, but that sounds scary, I think your should go to a Doctor. Hope this helps!
