I cut and I think my mom might start to suspect somthing?!

Question: I cut and I think my mom might start to suspect somthing?
I self-harm and I have been spending a lot of time at my house insted of out with friends (im 13) and my mom keeps on asking me if somthings wrong! So obviously im not going to tell her, but I want to be at home. In my room, reading, alone.
My mom keeps on saying things like "I hate to see you at home alone!" and "why dont you make plans with somone?" So I put on a smile and say somthing like "Nah, im just gonna make myself some gumbo and keep the cats company!" and laugh and stick out my tong at her jokingly to make her think im fine. Im getting sick of doing that.

How do I get her off my back? She dosnt suspect anything yet, but I dont want her to start to.

I think it'll be worse if she finds out on her own. sometime in evening ask her if ya'll can sit down and talk. Explain to her whats going on and why you do it. be ready for questions because she'll probably have them. your mom maybe able to help you and it's nice to have someone you can count on. let me know if i can help anymore

real life, i self harm too

maybe just tell her that your friends are being annoying and you dont like it and stuff and you just want to spend your spare time doing what you want to do. Im in the same situation, i get asked why i dont go anywhere, and like last year i went out to much so i just said i am just taking a break and just cruisin. i hang out with my friends enough at skool
i hope this helps
xx

you should talk to her about your issues, instead of lying. I mean, she's your mom and she can get you help. you shouldn't be isolated alone all the time, and I'm sure she'll understand if you tell her why you're always alone. just get help.

TELL THE TRUTH!!!

Stop Cutting,
stop lying,
She is your mother, if something is wrong she can help!,

Please don't cut anymore...

Well if you don't have problems at home, the obvious and obnoxious question is, why do you cut? You said you have friends, so what issues are you going through, or does it just make you feel good? Cutting feels good and it's a quick fix, but the best thing for you would be to try and quit :/

You should tell her, but I understand that you can't tell her outright that you're self-harming. That's a hard thing for a parent to accept. Start by trying to be more yourself around her. I mean, just say to her that you don't feel like doing anything or you just wanna be by yourself. Slowly, let her realize you have depression or the problem that you have, and then tell her.

There's a great organization called To Write Love On Her Arms that helps with these kinda of issues, you should check them out.

perhaps it's a good thing f she does realise i know you don't feel that way but you will need support and some help as time goes on losing yourself in a book doesn't work so well then you wil feel more alone and depressed.Your mum's obviously worried do you think you could tell her or someone else I use to cut all the time andnever told anyone but someone did find out eventually and although i didn't want them to in the end you do feel some relief from not having to hide it anymore it's hard work putting on a front all the time and not having to do that is much better.Someone will find out somewhen it becomes harder and harder to hide it sounds as if your mum caresi hope you feel able or ready to talk to someone soon.
