It's kind of hard to understand what your asking, but I'll try my best.
Not all the medication that is prescribed to people with a mental illness is addictive. I have a mental illness and the medicine I'm on isn't addictive at all. The medicine given to people with mental illnesses is designed to allow them to function properly and live their lives. Doctor's don't prescribe medicine that can be addictive with the intention of getting their patients hooked. That's all on the patient themselves.
There are tons of people in the world have mental illnesses and don't even know it. Just because they aren't taking some kind of medicine for it doesn't mean the illness isn't there. It just means it's going untreated. A lot of other mentally ill people don't think that they do have mental illnesses, usually because of their mental illness not allowing them to fully comprehend it.
Not just anyone can diagnose a mental illness. Therapists and doctors do that. That's how people with mental illnesses know they are mentally ill. A professional diagnosed them as such.
