Valerian root can help with anxiety and insomnia. For depression with no energy, motivation or confidence , L- tyrosine may give a boost. SAM-e is another possibility for depression. But, natural supplements are for more mild cases. More serious cases might require medication and/or talk therapy. I hope you feel better soon.

Yes, but you need to know that depression is a complex matter. It is a disease causing nerve cell loss
and it is an immune disease at the same time because 4 interleukines are elevated. So you have to spend some thoughts how to stop the loss of nerve cells and glial cells and on the other hand how to repair the immune system. You may also add methods which are protecting hippocampal neurons
till the self repairing mechanisms of the brain are working. Under the line you will need different
methods at the same time with a short kick in time, of course. Apart from repairing damages from chronic depression you need to spend thoughts on what might have caused depression. Some kind of depression are caused by bacterias and viruses and - you might have guesses it already - these bacterias or viruses must be removed for a curing.

Try chocolate - it releases endorphins (hormone of happiness).
Chocolate consumption stimulates the release of serotonin and endorphin into the body, which combine to produce a relaxed or euphoric feeling. This may explain why some people crave chocolate when they're feeling depressed.

Of course, it would help if you do not have a serious problem which needs treatment with psychotherapy and/or medications, prescribed by Health care professional.
