Our minds are so very powerful, All the things u have mentioned above are classic signs of anxiety ! How do i know > because i have suffered severe anxiety for a number of years now.My first attack was also on a bus , i was so scared i had to have a mental health OT learn me how to go back on a bus. Im very much improved now , but each day can be a battle, Go and talk to your Gp and ask for help . If people knew the thoughts i have they would seriously be alerted . You are not on your own and i would say not a schizopheric neither
If your only symptoms are racing thoughts and slight tingling, I'm inclined to believe that it is all anxiety or anxiety related. Do whatever your doctors telling you to, and you should also try to learn some anxiety reducing strategies, like exercising, yoga, drinking green tea etc. Medication might be required.

I would highly recommend that you see a Cognitive Behavioral Psychologist it will do wonders for you. In the UK we call it Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). They will look at ways to change those thoughts, feelings, behaviours and anxieties. Also a change in diet and exercise such as swimming, riding, walking etc will help lift your mood and change those negative thoughts into positive ones. It will take time for change to happen but it is well worth. Finally, stay away from prescription drugs, once your on them its hard to come off. Sometimes prescription drugs masks the problem instead of resolving it.
Sounds like you have GAD- General Anxiety Disorder, which I am happy to say is easily treatable. The problem is you need to seek out a Cognitive Behavioral Psychologist who can teach you techniques on how to recognize, manage and change the way you are thinking. This does not mean you are crazy. The problem is something happened 6 months ago and you are just stuck in this perpetual cycle of fearful thoughts and feelings. I promise it works and it works fast. Please seek it out or seek out a support group that focuses on anxiety to find out how they manage. Good Luck. (Don't let anyone talk you into anti-depressants or anti-anxiety medication, this can be taken care of behaviorally, instead of just masking the symptoms)
