What do girls with ADD usually daydream about?!

Question: What do girls with ADD usually daydream about?
I am a 12 year old girl and I think I have ADD because 1. I keep missing homework assignments at school 2. I can't focus: I keep finding myself daydreaming 3. I always forget what is said in a conversation and 4. I get bored with things very quickly. Let's say a game. I always will stop before it's finished and move on to a different one.

So anyway, I read somewhere that boys with ADD usually have ADHD so they are the distruptive type of not paying attention, and girls are quiet daydreamers, with just ADD and no H.

So what do girls(besides me) with ADD usually daydream about? If you have a personal experience answer(and you are a girl) that would be great. Thanks!

Answers:

I can only tell you about my personal experience with daydreaming. I have Maladaptive Daydreaming. It's a condition that causes excessive daydreaming (site below.)

Obviously, no one can diagnosis you over the internet. Keep in mind that Maladaptive Daydreaming is not an "official" disorder since it is just starting to be studied.

Especially since you are so young, If you think that you have ADD or ADHD, then your best bet would be to talk to your parents, trusted adult, or school counselor about this, and see if they can arrange to have you get properly evaluated. Hope this helps.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is the same as Attention deficit Disorder (ADD). You don't necessarily have ADD/ADHD because you are distracted sometimes.. but you would have to be evaluated by a doctor and take a test to know for sure. Here's a website with much more information http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002518

As for daydreams? I believe they vary by person :P

I don't know I have ADHD and most girls that I know have ADHD. We don't daydream. We just get hyper a lot. And tend to do dumb things.

Yes you have ADD or ADHD. my BFF is like that and she has ADHD.
