This is just my opinion; but I don't think there's anything wrong with burning an old love letter, etc. In the "old days", burning the proverbial "love letter" was a common scene in movies and romantic novels and it seemed to give a certain amount of emotional release. Of course, you don't want to start a fire or make this the first step leading to other greater and more dangerous behavior.

On the other hand, you might want to ask yourself "what the heck am I doing in a relationship that makes me want to burn things up?!!"

No, there is nothing wrong with what you did. I've heard of a lot of people doing the same thing - it's cathartic. Everyone deals with things differently. You aren't hurting anyone. You aren't destroying some one else's property, you aren't harming yourself.

Yes, I have done the same thing in the past. The main thing is do not ever let things stay inside of you, you need to do something to get it out of your system, sometimes though, you do things you regret later, but by all means get out of your system.
