Mental illness that makes you obsesse too much?? HELP?!

Question: Mental illness that makes you obsesse too much?? HELP?
I had an ex. He, we'll call him Kyle, had a friend named, we'll call the friend Toby. Toby was a jerk to me and now I have this love/hate thing going on. But I don't like Toby but I fantasize making out and stuff. I'm really turned on that he cussed me out on fbook once. It made me cry, but oddly enough I wish I could rape him lol, I'm not a troll. Anyway, is there some type of mental illness that causes you to obsess? Cause I should be over how he called me out and was a jerk to me when Kyle and I hit a rough patch, but I'm still not over how he was to me.

Also, I tend to wonder about ppl and ask them or their friends lots of questions about them. I'm not a snoop and I certainly don't gossip, I'm just very fasinated by people. I want to study psychology. I'm 19, so don't think i'm so kiddo asking retarded questions. Also, mental illness runs in my family: is there something off about me that causes me to obsess?

Answers:

Kind of sounds like a sexual fantasy. You "get off" on being verbally abused. It's not a mental illness and it's actually very common.

You said it yourself - you're fascinated by people. Use it to your advantage! There's nothing wrong with being curious or interested in people.

Stop worrying. There's nothing wrong with you. :]

Also, Bulimia is an eating disorder.

don't worry! its not any of the OCD or any other thing! it may be bulimia nervosa or just your immaturity! time will teach you everything baby! good luck =)

its just immaturity. You'll grow up eventually...

You have just fallen for the age old trick. " Treat em mean keeps em keen"

Your thoughts and feelings don't have to agree all the time. So if he was / is a jerk, your feelings for him might still be there, even when reason says he is a jerk. By what you wrote you sound like a perfectly healthy person. But if it is really bothering you, you might want to talk to a doctor or a school counselor about this, he or she will be able to help you more.

Just remember it isn't our thoughts that define us, it is what we do. If not, I know I would be in jail, and probably most of humanity with me :)

Take care
