is this kind of cutting still considered serious?!
Question: Is this kind of cutting still considered serious?
Answers:
Although this may not be so serious for your biological health, for your body; as you use a sterilized razor and don't cut deep. The fact that you do cut is the problem. You are self-harming, which is a horrible and addictive problem. It's a bad coping mechanism, you should get some help. Maybe from a counsellor?
I'm assuming you have psychiatric help for the bipolar, if so are they aware of the self-harm? maybe they could help you.
Cutting is serious. There are potential risks involved. And cutting is just a symptom of something bigger...like your bipolar and many other issues.
Some teacher told the school counselor that she thought I cut. I had to talk to the school counselor but never admitted that I cut. The counselor was telling me that cutting wasn't very serious since so many people do it, and that eating disorders are the real problem. Personally, I wanted to punch her in the face. I have been dealing with cutting for three years and nobody takes it seriously.
Sorry I couldn't really answer your question.
I was just saying in my question how I don't think it is at all . . .

It is not the cut that is bad, it is WHY you do it.

2. i am friends to a worker in a grocery store......she is clean from meth and her teeth are missing........and i have seen her wear a short sleeve shirt.....where she has.....in the past, cut herself........
so in ten years from now, with all of your cut marks on your wrist.....suppose you clean up your life, find a job, get a boyfriend.......are you going to be proud of your scars on your wrists ????
ask your counselor if the cutting is a result of ocd or your bi polar disorder
