If I go to the hospital, and tell them that I want to kill someone, what happens!

Question: If I go to the hospital, and tell them that I want to kill someone, what happens?
I want to kill someone, seriously. I hate this person and can't stand it anymore. I've never had thoughts of harming anyone else before. I know I won't act on them, but I want her dead so much. Is this a problem since I won't act on them ?

And than I feel bad about having these thoughts, so I think about violent ways of killing myself. It never ends. I don't know what to do

Answers:

They would hold you for 72 hours for mental health evaluation.

If you go to a hospital and tell them you're going to kill someone most likely they'll either call the police and put you as an inpatient immediately. Either way you'll be in a lot of trouble.

Do you really understand the consequences of killing a person? Your whole life will be ruined, you'll always be known as a murderer, you'll never have a decent job, and at some point guilt will get to you. You will possibly spend the majority of your life in prison for premeditated murder. Do you honestly want to live with that the rest of your life?

Whoever the person is that you want to kill, you'd better think long and hard about it because, if you do this, nothing about life will ever be the same. I strongly suggest you either forget about this or go NOW to the hospital!

You'll probably have the police called. You wouldn't face any jail time but they would probably make you see a therapist and go counseling. Even if you don't go to the hospital, I recommended getting some help if you really feel that way. Good Luck.

They sure will dump you in jail immediately and charge you with attemptive murder.
