Do people generally realize it when they're going insane?!

Question: Do people generally realize it when they're going insane?
I'm just wondering because I have EXTREME depression and social anxiety and I just feel like I'm losing my mind

Answers:

A lot of people do not. Because the signs show up gradually, and you are used to them by the time they get into full swing. I knew that something was wrong, when the voices kicked in. That was the sign that i could not ignore. The best advice i can offer is to a.) seek out professional help, they will know what to look for. B.) ask those close to you, who see or talk to you on a regular basis, they will have noticed if you have changed.

I don't think your going insane. I think you can be helped. I had social anxiety and I am just now getting over it. I had depression also. I was a nervous wreck. The only thing that helped was God, he was the only one who seemed to listen or care. He can help a lot. Accept him into your life and repent of your sins and you can be helped he is awesome.

From my personal experience, those around you and people who know you best will see subtle changes that you can't. Some changes however are so extreme that, yes, you will know something's not right. You should really consider seeing a doctor.

It depends on how insane you are. Some times people are so insane that they don't know they are insane... So, the best thing to do is to ask a doctor, or a sane person, which is probably what you are doing right now... I'm pretty sure that I'm sane, unless I'm so insane that I don't know that I'm insane... lol i just confused myself :)

My sanity!

Are these things new or have you had them?? If new something is causing it and you need a natural doctor to help find the cause. Not just any physician who might just treat your symptoms with a pill and not find the cause of the problem. It could be a problem with your adrenals, hormones etc. I know fish oil and vitamin d3 helps with depression.

God is the ultimate healer and physician. I will be praying for you.

This is an excellent resource about understanding and treating anxiety. It is free to download.

A insane person doesnt think they are going crazy. Thinking you are going crazy makes you not crazy. WOrds from john locke on lost

Typically not... Go to visit a Dr. and they can diagnose the severity
