I'm 12 too. :) Heres a link to what Ive found http://depression.about.com/od/childhood/a/signssymptoms.htm Maybe your just emotional sometimes? One thing I do know is, never care what people think of you, because there is really mean people in this world who will only see the bad side of people. Just be yourself and keep your head high! Hope I've helped. :)

It sounds like depression.

Do you know what you are sad about?
When I was younger, I didn't know what I was sad about, but I was really depressed. And I didn't talk to anyone about it for a long time. When I finally did, things got better.

Depression can be linked to many things, something upsetting could have happened that you might have blocked out, an on going upset could be happening, or another underlying issue could be messing with your hormones to cause it. Tell your parents about your concern, let them know that you are really worried, they should listen.

If you need to talk at all, I've been there, and I found that talking to people was the best help I could have gotten.

sweetie we all go through these emotions, usually when you are young and too smart for your age you are able to notice things that others your age don't notice. And some of these things you may not understand and that can make you feel not so happy. but you will grow into your inteligence. just know you are not alone, we all go through this, it is what makes us search and grow and learn and become more beautiful. Sometimes you will cry, and sometimes you will laugh, these emotions will take turns, but there is nothing wrong with either emotion. When you have to cry, just cry, let it out and then smile :) and when you have to laugh, laugh. this is just the way life is. don't take it to serious when you cry, you will always smile again. always :)

Well why don't you talk to your Parents about going to a counselor?
It's just hormones, yes I know most used thing but it really is, trust me. It get's better as you grow.
