I think ADHD is fake?!

Question: I think ADHD is fake?
I think it's fake. The only symptoms are if kids like playing a lot and get very bored in school. So let me get this straight, if you get bored and can't concentrate and would prefer to play outside you have a mental disease? Almost all kids hate school and are hyper a lot, it's not a disease. The pills are made for lazy parents who don't want to deal with there hyper kids so they just drug them. It's really cruel...

Answers:

ADHD is NOT fake. it is really just overdiagnosed.

theres a difference between having ADHD and just being lazy. and often times modern day teachers parents and pshycologists forget the difference.

i think it is WAYY overdiagnosed. EVERYONE is a LITTLE ADD!!! especially when you are younger. but usually kids grow out of it.

you make a good observation though. but it is actually scientifically established AS a mental disorder. kids with REAL ADHD are usually very disruptive and cant concentrate on ANYTHING! (sorry i keep capitalizing). a kid whgo hates school and wants to do stuff outside, well heck, thats EVERY kid. no one really likes school because kids dont give a crap about grammar and reading and math. and often times that kid will be diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. and THATS a shame. often times drugs like ritalin will mess up that kids personality.

my sister works with ADHD kids, and there is a HUGE difference between real and a misdiagnosed

often times to kid it may feel like its just the lazy parents. but it is a lack of dopamine in the brain.

idk i go to a school with a lot of kids with ADD who are misdiagnosed or rightly diagnosed! :)

I agree 100%, ADD and ADHD are just symptoms of being human and/or energetic, we make our lives complicated, go there, do this, do that, run, run, run, go, go, go. Some times you need to relax, shut down have a break, we are not machines, we are flesh and blood coordinated by hormones.

I think they are labeled as such, so big pharma can sell you med$$$$$. Its the American way.

ADHD usually manifests about third grade..I flunked third grade, and I could not watch tv...ever, until after I took meds which I started taking after decades...now I can watch tv shows and movies...but I got off the meds, somehow they taught me to concentrate...I think it is likely overdiagnosed, and yes, I would of rather been outside playing...I kinda was..looking out the window, imagining games and things in my mind...school was very boring...

You do know adults can have ADHD too, right?
I get that some people use the disorder as a cop-out for badly behaved kids sometimes, but it is a real and sometimes life-affecting disorder.

I agree that in some cases, kids are just lazy. However adhd is a serious problem in that the person with the disorder cannot help how little they focus.I would seriously look into some studying.

I think it was made as a crutch for lazy kids who don't wanna do any work so get put on meds and in special Ed classes but in some cases it could be real. It never happens in India or Africa because their not spoiled and lazy

they can actually look at the brain and see where ADD/ADHD patients do not have enough brain stimulation. The drugs they prescribe are actually not sedatives, they speed up brain processing so the child OR GROWNUP gets enough stimulation to help them focus.

Thanks for telling the world that you know absolutely nothing about ADHD because if you did you would know that every single person w/ADHD -including me -has the ability to hyper-focus if something interests them
Have a nice day

It's a real disease.

This isn't really a question your kind of just ranting. Try making a blog.

Your fake.

I Have ADHD

In some cases your right :) but not all :/. Some kids just can't pay attention in class and then so on.

It's not fake. Do some studying...

In some cases your right, but not all.
