Question: Question about anxiety attacks and the flu (probably dumb)?
Yesterday I learned one of my cousins had to be rushed to the hospital because she had an anxiety attack and ended up passing out. They also said she had the flu as well. But I don't get it, I mean I know she has been stressing herself out lately because she's been working alot lately and hardly getting any rest and thought she just had a cold (or at least that's what she said). The thing I don't get is why is she in the hospital? Can't she recover at home? Plus can the flu cause an anxiety attack?

If she passed out it's probably a good measure for her to go to the hospital. Anxiety attacks are not caused by the flu. Sometimes they are not caused by anything at all, just a build up of well, anxiety. They can be very scary for the person having them.
