whats the chance of becoming dependent on prescribed medicine?!
Question: Whats the chance of becoming dependent on prescribed medicine?
Answers:
Well bob, depending on dosage, number of times/day taken...after two wks of taking the celexa don't be fooled by inexperienced ignoranus'...you will become dependantm plain and simplem Although, if you work w your md he will ween you down appropriatlly so u should feel very little withdrawals$ as far as side effects, u will feel NONE! NONE...I'm just assuming you're taking this for depression/anxiety??? If so, the only side effect you will feel in a cpl weeks is less anxiety and more happiness...maybe a lil dry mouth and lightheadedness first 3-5 days, but nothing bad. As far as the antihystamine goes, all it is is rx'd benadryl prescribed for allergies, motion sickness, sleep disorders, and many other uses...its mainly an ingredient called diphenhydramine...its an over the counter med so chances are slim of physical dependance. Hope this helps, good luck! I speak from many many years of heartache and experience!
Bob, I've love to be able to help you but I'm not qualified to say how likely you are to become dependant on Celexa.
There are risks with all drugs. Risks of side effects, dependency, weight gain, weight loss... the list is endless. It's about balancing out the pros and cons of taking the medicine.
If you are concerned about developing a dependency then the best person to discuss this with is the prescribing doctor.
You can look online to see the side effects/warnings for both. Your doctor would have said something if they were addictive--ask them the next time you see them if you're still worried

You didn't name the other medicine so that's the only one I found.
