I am taking medication for depression, and I am having thoughts of suicide?!
Question: I am taking medication for depression, and I am having thoughts of suicide?
Some days I will be thinking that and other days I will be normal, like right now I feel fine. But I need to know what I should do and how to stop thinking that stuff because I almost actually did something the other day and when I am having those thoughts, I can't stop and I need to stop?

Tell your parents you need to see your doctor and tell him what's going on. Make up a reason if you have to. Anti-depressants can, in some people and in teenagers, increase thoughts of suicide. If you read the information about the medication that the pharmicist gives you, it's right there in black and white.
Having been on anti-depressants myself, and had the list of side effects rattled off to me by my own psychiatrist, I will add my voice to the others already having answered.
Anti-depressants effect people in different ways, and especially younger people. Your doctor needs to know about this NOW, and get you on a more appropriate medication.
If your parents won't take you, call 911 and get an ambulance. It only takes a moment to make the wrong decision...
I am a 14 yr old girl and if I were you I would try and talk to your parents and say HEY LOOK IM CONSIDERING SUICIDE!! and see how they react and if they will listen to you.. and if not you NEED to go to your school nurse or your Guidance Counselor! Please dont hurt yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (: If you need anything email me!!!!!!!!!!! I can give you more advice if you would like!
No matter what happens , just keep in mind that life is beautiful and you have some people who are loving you so much. Just be strong in your heart and never never suicide.
Echoing the others, go and see your doctor. It really sounds like you need new medication and perhaps some counselling.
