My friend told me she wanted to starve herself & denied it? Help?!

Question: My friend told me she wanted to starve herself & denied it? Help?
I was texting my friend yesterday and she said she was too fat (which she is not, she's fine) and wants to starve herself so she'll be skinny. I told her that she's fine, she doesn't need to do anything & starving herself won't solve her problems. She replied saying it will. I went out to her yesterday and asked was she OK, and she acted as though nothing happened. I reminded her what she told me but she denied it and said she was messing, but I knew she wasn't, but I dropped it. She was in a bad mood after that but she was alright. Later on, she brought it up again casually though, that she wished she was skinny. After that, nothing was mentioned again. I know she's unhappy with her body, she's brought it up only a couple of times that she wants to be skinny, but she's denied it. What should I do because I really want to help her? Sorry if it's in the wrong section.

Being a teenage girl myself i know exactly how she feels. Threes not use telling her that shes fine and that shes not "fat" because in her eyes she wont believe it. The only way to help her is to re assure that your their for her and that you wont leave her. If you think something is getting serious then its your responsibility to tell somebody you both trust. Hope i helped.

Uh, let's just say your friend doesn't want you to stop her from doing what she wants, so she's denying that she is starving herself. I do this all the time. My best friend will be like "Hey, I know you think you're fat, but starving yourself is not the answer. Plus, you're a good size." I've told her before that I was too fat to eat. But if I were you, (I know, I sound like a hypocrite) I would wait for two or three days, see if she loses a sizable amount of weight. If she does, then tell her parents. I know she might not like you for awhile. But they will get help for her and you will have probably saved her life. Hope I helped!
