Zoloft side effects????? Please please please help!!!!!!!!!?
Okay, so I was put on Zoloft around 6 months ago. My mom insisted I was depressed when I really wasn't so my doctor put my on 25mg. At first I just started losing weight like tonsss of weight. Then I started losing like all of my hair, wayy over half, then I started bleeding during and after I had sex one night after having sex my stomach hurt sooo bad I had to go to the E.R. After all of this crap that had went on I had constant brusing on my legs, red dry eyes, weight loss, bad dreams, sweating horribly,floaters in my eyes, nipple discharge, neck pain, head aches, worrying constantly, but the worst problem of all is feeling like I am feeling disconnected from the world like I'm in a constant dream. I wake up feeling fine and then I think I wonder if I'm going to feel normal today and I never do, sometimes I feel like I'm dead and just walking around with living people. I also get lightheaded after standing up. I even thought I had a brain tumor at one point! I just want to feel normal again. I haven't taken Zoloft in two days and I still feel horrible and feel awful because almost all my hair is gone when I used to have the thick, beautiful hair now it's thin, and also I feel bad because I never want to have sex because I bleed! I want to feel like I did before they put me on this medication! My doctor says I need to up my dosage, but I just don't think that's what it is!!! Someone help I'm only 17 this should be the time of my life! But it's not I feel awful, constantly! Does anyone know why all this stuff is happening?! Please help!!!!!!!

it does sound like the side effects of sertraline... you should tell your doctors your having terrible side effects, maybe see another doctor about it if your normal doesn't agree. i don't know what the lowest dose is of sertraline, you could ween yourself off it... i think 25mg is the lowest dose... so maybe you could take it every other day to ween your self off.

I'm not even sure if your question(s) are serious or not. First of all, I have worked with and researched SSRI medications (anti-depressants) for almost thirty years. I have NEVER heard of the side effects that you are describing. Something else is going on and you need to be evaluated by an MD.
well side effects happens from most meds now, and can mess your brain up for good if on it to long,
and well i dont need meds but people tell me i need them to stop being so angry now..
and well i cant help it sometimes being angry... sighs
well tell someone you dont need that, and need to get off it, and then you will be better.
ask dr says your depressed and your not, its only how you feel not any one else feels.
