Question: I have massive amounts of stress on me :'(?
I'm 15, male. I'm in the 9th grade and I have sooo much stress on my shoulders right now. I'm so overwhelmed with the amount of stress I have that my lungs will feel trapped making me want to rip my chest open so I can just breath(which really disturbs me).. I know what your going to say "just forget what's stressing you out" or somewhere along those lines but that's easier said than done. I'm pretty much stressed about everything in my life currently. Mostly when it comes to school like grades, friends, rumors. I just want to release every single amount of stress going through my head right now. I also have social anxiety and it's really bad right now.

I completely understand what you're feeling right now. I think what would help you the most would be to get together with a friend that you know cares about you and sit down with them and just talk through everything that's been bothering you recently. Get it all off of your chest and ask them how they feel about it and if they know of any way that could help you handle it. Oftentimes, just venting your emotions openly helps release a lot of stress. Also, take it from me, someone who's made it through high school and out the other side; a lot of the things that happen to you there may seem horribly gargantuan at the time, but aren't very consequential in the long run. I promise you that the rumors circulating, whatever they may be, will eventually pass. If you're worried about making time for everything you have to do school-wise, just sit down and take a minute and figure out when you'll be able to do each thing on your list. When you have a solid plan, it should be a lot easier to cope with the looming responsibilities.
I know you also said that you have really bad social anxiety, but I'm not sure how that affects your daily life, but I want you to know that if you need someone to vent to and you can't talk to anyone in person, you can email me and we'll talk things through.



Of course promoting the use of alcohol to deal with problems is really stupid. That wont help you at all, it will make it worse.

Try asprin it has been shown to relieve anxiety. Also if your consuming lots of caffene that doesn't help either. Stay away from drugs cigarettes and alcohol they will make it worse. And realize this you not under that much stress. I am under 10 times more stress than i was when I was your age. You will learn to deal with stress now so when you get older you will be prepared for real stress. Take a multi vitamin and play a sport! I cant tell you how much playing a sport helps with social problems actual and mental. When you play a sport you have more friends and feel healthier. It is really easy even if you suck you will get better and still have more social interaction.
