I am scared of sleeping in my bedroom?!

Question: I am scared of sleeping in my bedroom?
I am 14 years old and I am scared to sleep in my bedroom. I always shared a room with my older sister, but she moved out. I slept on the couch last week, but my mom won't let me anymore... My room is too big for me. I will cry myself to sleep every night when I'm in my room alone (if my sister was at a friends house), but I'd end up on the couch. What is wrong with me? How do I stop?

Answers:

theres nothing wrong with you!! its scary!! LOL :) its true...
things that may help:
- leave the bathroom light/nightlight on
- use a sound machine so its not eerily quiet.. its nice & relaxing if you have a rain or ocean sound
- if theres a tv in your room, put it on "sleep" or whatever for like 30 minutes so you can fall asleep to the sound
- read a book in bed or something that makes you tired
- fall asleep to a movie

hope these help you!
