Why am do I always end up the bad guy in these situations?!

Question: Why am do I always end up the bad guy in these situations?
Okay I am 17 and my sister is 16 she has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and has an extremely bad temper. I'm just going to give a few examples of her behavior like last night my boyfriend and I went out on the roof to look at the moon and my sister and her friend came up to the window because apparently they were planning on sitting out were we were and she just started yelling at us saying that she was just about to sit out there and she hated us and she wanted to shoot us in the face then she slammed the window closed. Then earlier today she got pissed off at my boyfriend because he asked her if she was still watching whatever was on tv and he stood behind her for a few seconds and she asked him to leave and right as he was about to turn around she wacked him with the remote and left a huge welt on his arm. I wasn't even in the room when it happened and when I came downstairs she was freaking out and yelling that she was sick of being around people and she wanted us to go away so I told her if she wanted to be thats what her room was for. She ran outside to get my mom and my mom just tells us we need to leave and that my boyfriend can't come over that often anymore. So after my boyfriend and I came back from the movies my sister was downstairs with my parents (she is always really clingy after she blows up like that) and I went in my room. My mom came in my room to find out why I was upset and I told her it was because of my sister and she was mad at me for being pissed at my sister. She said my sister was sorry for hitting my boyfriend. I am now the odd one out. Don't I have a good reason to be pissed at her? Why doesn't my mom get where I am coming from?

Answers:

You DO have a reason to be genuinely upset and it is called being abused. You have been threatened , and he was hit, that is physical and verbal threats and violence. That is abuse. That is illegal. The police can be called and she can be reported.
Some people with mental illness, and bi polar is a difficult illness for the person and people around them, but it is not an excuse to treat others abusively, and to harm others. That has to stop.
It would be good for you to call the non emergency line of the police in your area , explain what has happened and her diagnosis, and what can you do about it , and what would they do about it.
The chances are she would be taken to some kind of hospital, or nothing at all , except to tell you to take her to the doctors .
Start finding out how to deal with it, it sounds liek your mom needs some help also, in dealing with her, and what to do when she gets violent.
NO ONE should have to live with that for any reason.
Find the help you all need, and her also.
Find the therapists in yoru area that deal with it, and the doctors.
You can remove the damage done to you and your bf with eft eftuniverse.com click on 'get started free' for the free self help version, and therapists at eftmastersworldwide.com these may be able to help her as well.
I also would recommend that she /your mom /have her see a hormone expert, since over 20% of bi polars are thought to have thyroid imbalances contributing, or other hormone imbalances. She can find a doctor like this by calling a compounding pharmacy in your area and asking what doctors test and balance hormones. You could do this as well, just for.
Or she could contact these people thehallcenter.com feelingfff.com or your mom could talk to people at thecanaryclub.org
